A system built from the field
TacOps is an independent civilian system by TacOps IL, which develops and operates it end to end - from the app in the field to the infrastructure behind it.
The system grew out of a practical need: to see one picture, dispatch quickly, know who is available and who is ready, and keep a record of what happened - without stitching together five separate tools. Every capability in it exists because someone in the field hit a problem that called for it.
TacOps IL is the provider
TacOps IL is the creator, owner, developer and operator of the system. The company was founded and is led by Or Many. Organizations that use TacOps are customers - they run the system themselves, for their own teams. The company has no affiliation with, or ownership by, any government body.
What the system is not
- It is not a public emergency service and is not intended for use by the general public.
- It is not connected to government emergency dispatch centers and does not receive or initiate public emergency calls.
- It is not operated on behalf of any government body and has no institutional affiliation.
Three decisions we do not compromise on
Privacy is a switch, not a policy
The user controls location publishing from one screen. Switch off means zero writes to the server - behavior in code, not a promise in the terms.
Full separation between organizations
Each organization sees only its own data. Separation is enforced on the server, not in the interface.
Built for bad conditions
Dropped network, locked screen, backgrounded app, spoofed GPS - the system was built around these cases, not around the ideal one.
